She fostered 99 kids & photographed every one of them — here's what she saw
What does it take to open your home to 99 children — and love every single one of them?
Lorraine Howard did exactly that.
A certified professional photographer, award-winning artist, mother of eight, and former foster parent to 99 children (102 total when you count her biological children and foreign exchange student — yes, really), Lorraine joins Monica Samuels and co-host Julie Orcutt for one of the most powerful conversations we’ve ever had on Inside the Moms Club.
This isn’t just a story about foster care. It’s a story about what love truly looks like when it costs something.
ABOUT LORRAINE HOWARD:
Lorraine Howard is a certified professional photographer based in California whose passion for storytelling through portraits grew directly from her years as a foster and adoptive mother. After realizing that not one of the 99 foster children who entered her home arrived with a single photograph of themselves, she made it her mission to give every child a visual record of their story.
Today, Lorraine donates senior portrait sessions to foster children aging out of the system — giving them something priceless before they step into adulthood alone.
